- Get A Massage

2. Look Your Best
Take a timeout to look your best this Holiday season. Call your salon today and pre-schedule your salon appointments. The holidays get so busy at salons you may not be able to get an appointment if you put it off too long. Treat yourself! Add on a Facial or wax to help you feel your best in those holiday photos. Book an Updo for a special holiday party!
Buy a new outfit, nothing makes you feel better and more confident than a new outfit that fits well! A new outfit doesn’t have to break the bank either! Shop consignment like Recycled Sally’s in Downtown Baraboo. Another Great option is Arrows and Angels Boutique.
3. Plan a Date Night
Reconnecting with the one you love is so important! The Holiday season is packed full of extra tasks, often making us forget to stay connected with that special someone. Make the holiday season more enjoyable by setting aside time for just the two of you. Plan a shopping day (or night), get a sitter to pick the kiddos up from school or let the dogs out. Take a day to head out on an adventure to finish up (or start, we’re not judging) your holiday shopping. Make time to stop for lunch and visit your favorite local winery. Just give yourself a timeout to remember why you like each other! Trust me it will make the season more magical when you are one the same page with your loved one.
4. Create a Budget
It is so easy to blow the budget during the holiday season! Kids need new shoes and isn’t this gift perfect for Grandma (but way more than we usually spend). In November, before everyone starts to panic, sit down with all the financial decision makers in the house and agree on a Holiday budget. Gifts, Food, Entertainment, ect. Be honest; start by looking at last year’s expenses and try to set goals and priorities. Be realistic and maybe create a reward for yourselves if you stay on budget. An overnight getaway and dinner out in January sounds amazing.
5. Make a List ( and check it Twice)
Family Photos, Order Greeting Cards, Find that perfect Lego set for your nephew, the list goes on and on during the Holiday Season. Find a place to create a list – your list should be easy to access and edit. This list will be constantly changing. Some swear by paper and pencil and others may prefer the notes function in their phone, or a task management app such as Monday.com among others. Check out a To-Do list Blog here.
6. Shop Local
Shop locally owned stores in a Downtown near you! If your community does not have a great downtown, we are happy to share ours with you! Shop Downtown Baraboo this Holiday Season. We have over 40 specialty stores that are sure to have the perfect gift for everyone on your list. The best parts of shopping local are:

7. Cut yourself some Slack
The Holiday Season comes every year, take a time out to enjoy the season. Say yes to a glass of wine with a girlfriend, even when you have a stack of presents to wrap. Say yes to the kids when they ask to watch Frosty the Snowman with you, again. Say yes to all the universe sends your way and don’t sweat the small stuff. The holidays come around every year, so you will have a chance to do it perfectly next year!
